SUMMARY OF COALDALE MINING PLAN BY AREA
Dilution is main factor affecting economy of this operation; external and internal dilution.
Footwall contact is dipping with variable angles, gypsum bedding and waste are intercalated
and widths are variable; we established 30ft benches across the quarry, and load and haul
equipment match the height of the benches, reducing dilution and such as control for ground
vibration for blasting.
Mining of gypsum is developing south to north with 30ft bench heights. By January 2020,
gypsum top bench is 1-6910, bottom floor is 1-6820. Faces have been oriented in average
N450E to N550E; it exposed different gypsum bedding, as showing in the picture L6890
(March, 2018).
'7 °r'
gypsum
-74
4
Next years, Coaldale quarry will go down to the estimated 1-6730.
