The Grand Junction Resource Area Manager shall be notified at <br /> least 48 hours prior to commencing construction or maintenance <br /> activities. <br /> , 2. The road shall be constructed, operated and maintained in <br /> accordance with the Conditional Use Permit for the Orchard Mesa <br /> Aggregates Gravel Pit issued to the bolder on September 25. 1990, <br /> the written material and maps submitted by the holder as an <br /> application for the permit. and the plat map submitted by <br /> Armstrong Consultants. Inc. on January 30, 1991. <br /> 3. The holder shall conduct all activities associated with the <br /> construction, operation and termination of the right-of-way within <br /> the 30 foot wide right-of-way boundary. All construction, <br /> operation and maintenance activities shall be confined to the <br /> minimum area necessary. <br /> 4. The access road shall be graveled. ditched and crowned with a 20 <br /> foot wide running surface. <br /> 5. The holder shall, clear all vegetation from the project area, where <br /> clearing <br /> is necessa prior g necessary. p to any construction. All clearing <br /> work shall be completed without mixing soil with vegetation. <br /> 6. All soil erosion associated with the operation must be stabilized <br /> to a condition at least equal to that present before disturbance. <br /> 7. Construction-related traffic shall be restricted to routes <br /> approved by the authorized officer. Additional access roads or <br /> cross-country vehicle travel will not be permitted unless prior <br /> written approval is given by!the authorized officer. <br /> 8. Where the si.deslopes to the north and south of the road are to be <br /> cut back to improve visibility at the point where the road <br /> intersects with 31 Road, the toe of the cutslope shall be <br /> excavated a horizontal distance of no further than h n 10 feet, while <br /> maintaining the same backslope that now exists (approximately <br /> 1 1/2 to 1). All excavated material shall be removed from.,the <br /> area and used as road base. Seeding of the cutslope may be <br /> required at the discretion of the authorized officer. <br /> 9. The holder shall contact the following right-of-way holders prior <br /> i to construction to coordinate operations near their facilities: ^ <br /> A.
