2019 Plan of Operations Modification American Gypsum Company, LLC <br /> 2.4 Soils and Water Resources (SWR) <br /> Resource Protection Measure SWR 1: Any topsoil or overburden remaining in place longer than <br /> six months would be stabilized and seeded. <br /> Resource Protection Measure SWR 2: Pit inflows would be monitored during operations; slopes <br /> would be graded or regraded during reclamation to ensure adequate surface drainage. <br /> 2.5 Survey Monuments (SM) <br /> Resource Protection Measure SM 1: Survey monuments would be protected according to <br /> 43 CFR 3809.420 (b) (9), which states: <br /> "To the extent practicable, all operators shall protect all survey monuments, <br /> witness corners, reference monuments, bearing trees and line trees against <br /> unnecessary or undue destruction, obliteration or damage. If, in the course of <br /> operations, any monuments, corners, or accessories are destroyed, obliterated, <br /> or damaged by such operations, the operator shall immediately report the matter <br /> to the authorized officer. The authorized office shall prescribe, in writing, the <br /> requirements for the restoration or reestablishment of monuments, corners, <br /> bearing and line trees." <br /> 2.6 Fire <br /> During operations,the Mine will comply with applicable state and federal fire laws and regulations, <br /> including applicable fire restrictions and will take all reasonable measures to prevent and <br /> suppress fires in the area of operations. <br /> Am Gypsum Poo Mod ISSD 20190909 September 2019 1101 <br />
