EXHIBIT E RECLAMATION PLAN
1. General Reclamation Plan
The total area of the permit is 103.2 acres. The permit has both a disturbed area and an
undisturbed area. Much of the undisturbed areas are perimeter areas of the pit. The reclaimed
land use is shown in Table E-1.
Table E-1 - Uncompahgre Pit Reclamation Land Use
Land Use Area(Acres)
Revegetated(Hay meadow and dryland pasture) 76.0
Camilletti Pit completed reclamation as a subset of
hay meadow. _ 44'7
Access Roads(left in place) _ 2.4
Undisturbed Areas 24.8
Total Permit Area 103.2
Reclamation will be conducted as new areas are disturbed throughout the year. This will most
likely happen in small increments a few times per year, with topsoil, crusher fines, and
overburden being placed in the previously excavated areas of the pit. This concurrent
reclamation helps minimized disturbed area and keep the bond low. See Map F-1 for details.
The Camilletti Pit area has been reclaimed to hay meadow, as required. The rest of the site will
be reclaimed in a similar manner to hay meadow and dryland pasture. The access roads will
remain reach the properties. The backfilling will be accomplished with overburden and fines
from on site and imported fill possibly. Any material imported from off-site will be certified
inert.
The pit will strip topsoil and place this topsoil directly on regraded mined out areas in back of the
pit. In this way, reclamation will be concurrent and the maximum pit exposed area at any one
time will be limited. This will also help reduce the exposed land area, which will reduce the
reclamation bond and impacts to wildlife.
2.
