Joel Riggins of GCC accompanied Lucas in the field at King I and 11. <br />The weather was clear and the ground was dry during the inspection. <br />Normal activities were taking place at the mine during the inspection. At King II, the stackers were active and <br />trucks were being loaded. No activity was taking place at the King I facility during the time of the inspection. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br />Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br />Drainage — Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />At the King 1 Facility the implementation of features depicted in TR -27 has been completed and refuse is <br />being placed in the Lower Refuse Pile. Reach 6 of the Clear Water Ditch which runs along the western edge of <br />the TR27 expansion area was observed. The Ditch can be seen in Photos One and Two. At the time of the <br />inspection the ditch was stable and in good condition. No evidence of recent flows was observed. No erosion or <br />sediment transport from the Lower Refuse Pile was noted. <br />Reaches 10, 11 and 8 where visible were observed leading to the West Pond. The reaches were unobstructed and <br />were functioning as designed at the time of the inspection. At both the East and West ponds, the sediment load <br />was visually measured and confirmed to have sufficient capacity as prescribed in the PAP. No standing water was <br />noted in either pond. The West pond can be observed in Photo Three and the East Pond in Photo Four. <br />At the King II facility the large sediment basin was observed and was functioning as designed at the time of the <br />inspection. The basin can be seen in Photo Five. All ditches and culverts leading into the basin are unobstructed <br />and in good condition.
