May 18, 2020 C-1981-035/King Coal Mine JHB <br />ROADS — Rule 4.03 <br />Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3), Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4), Surfacing and Maintenance4.03.1(5) and <br />(6)/4.03.2(5) and (6): <br />The haul road into King I appeared graded and free of debris or ponded areas. The gate was closed across <br />the King I haul road. One loader was present on the King I site. It was parked near the warehouse and was not in <br />operation at the time the photos were taken. <br />Coal haul trucks were visible along county road 120 and at King II haul road and loading area. The trucks were <br />well spaced apart and not clustered up or blocking the flow of traffic on the county road. The entrance to the King <br />II from the county road is nicely graded and appears to be in good condition. <br />SLIDES and DAMAGE - Rule 4.12: <br />No construction of the new portals has begun on the ground. TR29 is still under review by the Division. <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br />Trucks were visible on the King II haul road and near the loading area. Little on the ground activity was <br />apparent at the time of the photos. The raw coal stockpile fairly low. Coal appears contained within the <br />appropriate areas at the facilities.
