ENVIRONMENT, INC. PAGE 6
L.G. EVERIST, INC. - RAGSDALE RESERVOIR ADEQUACY RESPONSE O 1
MAY 6, ZOZ❑
L.G. Everist, Inc., understands that should any of the mined area be reclaimed as wetlands
that a Technical Revision will be filed requesting the change, and an augmentation plan to
cover and replace the evaporative losses on the wetland areas will be obtained prior to
release of those areas from the permit.
Post mining revegetation will need to be established and largely
weed-free prior to release of an area from the DRMS permit . No
"reasonable assurance" exceptions as described in the permit
application will be made . Please plan accordingly.
L.G. Everist, Inc., will plan on completing reclamation of the reservoir areas as described
and including established revegetation prior to requesting a release on any complete areas.
The permittee is responsible to DRMS for maintaining the entire
permit area in compliance with all applicable rules and require-
ments, including weed control within the permit area. Any outside
agreements between the permittee and other parties for site use
and/or maintenance will be the permittee' s responsibility to
enforce .
L.G. Everist, Inc., understands it is the permittee's responsibility to maintain the permit area
in compliance with all applicable rules and requirements, including weed control during the
life of the mine and until reclamation is completed and the permit area is released in full or
part.
EXHIBIT F - Reclamation Plan Map (Rule 6.4. 6) : What is the fine
green line around Phase 4B and on the north end of Phase lA
depicting?
That is just the outline of the hatch marks designating the area to be planted. On
my map is shows up as a black line. I have changed it to black on the revised maps
to match the hatch color.
Please show the locations of the required flood inlet/outlet
structures in Phases 1 and 2 .
As mentioned above, no inlet/outlet structures will be built on this facility. It is not
L.G. Everist's responsibility to bridge the gap between the permit area and the river's
edge. The permit area is setback 135 to 185 feet from the west side of the armored
berm along the river. The Division is asking the applicant to expand the permit area
by asking the applicant to build inlet/outlet structures.
The landowners do not want inlet/outlet structures, which is why they have not been
added to the Mining and Reclamation Plans and Maps. However, if the landowners
determine the need for inlet/outlet structures prior to permit release, and if the
structures are added within the permit area, then a Technical Revision will be filed
showing the design and layout for such inlet/outlet structures.
