EXHIBIT L RECLAMATION COSTS(CONT)
vertical face will be approximately 2600 ft long and needs final
cut/fill grading (5 . 65 cu-yds/lft) . Dewatering is calculated for
the maximum pumping time - which would be just as mining ends on
this phase, and leaving only the highwall to be graded. That
would require dewatering 115 . 4 acres to finish grading on the
highwall and final side-sloping adjacent to the working face . All
other slopes will be finished as mining progresses to limit the
amount of final sloping needed. Resoiling and seeding would be
required on 33 . 40 acres . The completed slurry wall is 8275 feet
long at 43 feet deep . Bonding for the slurry wall is included
because it has not been certified.
Phase 3 is disturbed as it will be used as a processing and
stockpiling area, potential drying pad for crusher fines,
overburden storage, topsoil storage and equipment parking areas .
Approximately 60 . 6 acres will be disturbed on this stage, and they
will need to be resoiled (81, 475 yards) and graded. This area
will be used for cropland, so no seeding would be done until the
farmer puts it back into production. Estimated concrete
foundations to remove for processing plant is 200 yds of concrete .
The slurry wall is not installed since mining has not started in
this Phase .
RECLAMATION ACTIVITY -
Grading Slurry
Rip seed Cut/fill Concrete Secondary
Revegetate "Resoil': and wall Backfill Dewatering D Undisturbed
Phase bed sloping Demo seeding
{AC.) The estimated unit cost is based on DRMS past bond
calculation of $3 . 00/sq-ft with no reduction for construction.
Dewatering costs are based on dewatering 115 . 37 acres,
average depth 29 ft . For the slopes volumes, there would be 25 . 4
acres of 3 : 1 (368 . 3 ac-ft) , 2 . 40 acres of near vertical (34 . 8 ac-
ft) slopes, and the floor area of 87 . 6 acres (2 , 795 ac-ft) . Total
water volume to de-water in the Phase 2 lake area is 2 , 540 ac-ft
(number is total depths plus half of slope areas times 29 ft . ) .
The aquifer inflow (transmissivity) would be 72 , 300 gal/day/sq-ft
L.G.
