ENVIRONMENT, INC. PAGE 2
L.G. EVERIST, INC. - RAGSDALE RESERVOIR ADEQUACY RESPONSE 01
MAY 6, 2020
are the only ones that are not right. The Public Notice contained the R66W listing so
re-notice and re-publication is not needed.
EXHIBIT A - Legal Description (Rule 6 .4.1) : See comment for
Application Form.
Attached is a Revised Legal Description with the correct Range (R66W).
EXHIBIT B - Index Map (Rule 6 .4.2) : See above comments on site
location.
Attached is a revised Index Map with the correct Range (R66W).
EXHIBIT C - Pre-mining and Mining Plan Map(s) of Affected Lands
(Rule 6 .4 .3) :
Exhibit C - Surface owners Darrell McCrumb Trust and Carol Chavez
Living Trust are shown on map (far SE corner, East Side) , but not
listed in text on map, or in Exhibit O.
I have revised Exhibit O and the lists on Map Exhibit C to add their name and address.
Thank you for pointing this out.
What is the "IR" line in the NW corner of Phase 2 and in Phase
4A?
They are underground Irrigation pipes used by Cannon to irrigate those areas. I have
added that line to the Legend on Map Exhibit'C. They will be removed during mining.
Exhibit C1 - As a general rule, the "snapshot" presentation
utilized for the mining plan and bond calculation utilized in
this application is not appropriate . DRMS will need to see the
proposed mining plan for the site as it will be ultimately
executed for all phases .
I have revised the Map Exhibit C-1 to show the mining occurring in all phases. Of course
having all phases mined at the same time would never occur in real life, because the
applicant will be conducting concurrent reclamation. The original "snapshot" shows an
estimate of how much would be disturbed, and to what extent, at any one time.
Locations of topsoil and overburden piles need to be shown on
mining plan map.
To a certain extent, they have been shown in some areas. The Typical Sight Berms that
are located along perimeters of phases will be built with excess overburden. I have
changed their labels on Map Exhibit C-1 - Mining Plan Map to read "TYPICAL SIGHT
BERM (OVERBURDEN STOCKPILE)". The berms left after reclamation will still be
topsoiled and seeded. I have also added random topsoil and overburden stockpiles around
the phases, which are labeled on the map as "TOPSOIL PILES (approx. location)" or
"OVERBURDEN PILES (approx. location)", and a label has been added to the map legend
