Groundwater monitoring locations
Arequa Gulch well (CRMW-3A, CRMW-5D, ESPMW), Poverty Gulch wells (PGMW-2 and PGMW-4), Squaw Gulch
wells(SGMW-5, SGMW-6A, SGMW-7A, and SGMW-7B), Grassy Valley wells (GVMW-8B), and Vindicator Valley well
(VIN-2A) were reported dry. Surface water sampling locations in Arequa Gulch (AG-2.0), Vindicator Valley (T-2),
and Grassy Valley(GV-02&GV-03)had no flow and were reported dry,and WCSW-01 was frozen.
As reported on January 29,2020, CC&V collected first quarter compliance groundwater samples from monitoring
well CRMW-3B on January 14, 2020. CC&V received the lab report for these analyses on January 24, 2020, and
upon review, determined that CRMW-3B exceeded established numeric protection limits for fluoride and
manganese. CC&V also collected first quarter compliance groundwater samples from monitoring well GVMW-
22A on January 15, 2020. CC&V received the lab report for this analysis on January 27, 2020, and upon review,
determined that GVMW-22A exceeded established numeric protection limits for fluoride. Table 1 below lists the
exceedance for the location and the associated parameter.
Table 1.
Location Sample Date Parameter Value NPL(mg/L) Table Standard
(mg/L) (mg/L)
CRMW-3B 1/14/2020 Fluoride 2.8 2.0 2.0
CRMW-3B 1/14/2020 Manganese 37.4 8.1 0.05
GVMW-22A 1/15/2020 Fluoride 1 2.25 1 2.0 1 2.0
