H. Proposed site is a dry site. No dewatering is needed and no water is required for mining. The
only water that would be needed is for dust control. With the small amount of operations at this
site, there shouldn't be any dust control needed. But if there would be 4,000 gallons of water
should be sufficient for dust control for the day. That water would be gotten from the nearest
town or will obtained from legal source. No ground water will be encountered.Water levels in
the area are a minimum 300' in depth. There should be no surface water intercepted as mining
area is on top of the hill. We will put a 12 to 20 wide and minimum height or 2 ft high berm
around the permitted area to divert any surface water created by rain. If any stormwater would
be intercepted by this operation that was not diverted or captured will be released to the steam
system and or allowed to be infiltrated into the ground within 72 hours. Otherwise the operator
will make replacements for evaporation. No chemicals will be used at this location.
I. We will be complying with Colorado water laws and regulations on existing water rights. We will
not be in any underground water tables or using any water for the purpose of mining. There are
no water ways in permitted area. We do not have any objections to the Colorado Division of
Water Resources letter.Their comments have been added to the mining plan.
J. There will be no acids, toxins or chemicals used in the operations of mining the permitted area.
There have not been any acids or toxins known to this area that would be encountered. If any
such problem would occur,we would contact the appropriate agency and it would be handled
and disposed of with the regulations of that agency.
K. There should be no disturbance to the hydrologic balance. There is no water right of ways on
the permitted area. The surface water on existing ground will continue to be allowed to run
around the area. The areas annual rainfall is 14 inches. This area is fairly dry so the permitted
area would not cause any offsite damage. There will be berms around the outside edge of pit.
The berms will be anywhere from 12 ft wide to 20 ft x 2 feet minimum high berm. That will
direct run off away from pit. These will be large enough to hold up to large precipitation.
L. The deposit will be processed from time to time.A portable screen would be brought in and
setup to screen deposit for the correct gradations required for a project. Most of the time, no
Screening would be necessary. No chemicals will be used.
M. The primary commodities are sand and gravel for ranching, farming and construction use.
N. There is no incidental products expected out of this pit.
O. There will be no explosives used in mining operations.
