6.3.3 EXHIBIT C- Mining Plan
McCormick Excavation And Paving LLC(Applicant) McCormick Pit 1
A. Mining for aggregates will commence this spring of 2020.There should be enough material to
last to the year 2030.
B. The estimated topsoil depth is approximately 4"-6".We will strip topsoil and stockpile it as we
begin mining. As the operations move, we will start the reclamation process. We will place
overburden where we have already mined and place topsoil. If salvage top soil is not place
Within 180 days the top soil piles shall be seeded for the purposes of stabilization and erosion
control with approved reclamation seed mixture. This area will be broadcast seeded. And a
chain harrow dragged over pile.
C. Overburden is 1'to 4'in depth. There are no wasted rocks on project.
D. Deposits range from 8'to 13' in depth.
E. There is an entrance not being used that we will put a cattle guard in so trucks don't have to
watch for livestock. No new entrances or no office or shop/maintenance buildings there.
F. Disturbance dimensions to the land surface will be contained in mining permit area and those
dimensions are 600 feet by 400 feet(240,000 SF). as shown in maps. Inside this area will be
area mined and stockpile for top soil, overburden and entrance, haul road will be 25 ft wide x
150 ft long.Top soil will be placed a stock pile by the north west corner going 180 ft east 30 ft
wide and up to 20 ft tall. The over burden will be placed on the north side of pit as well. It will be
on the north, east of the haul road. Its dimensions are 180x 30 x30.The rest of the overburden
will be placed around the perimeter creating a berm of 12 to20 wide with minimum height of
2 ft creating a storm water diversion. All stock piles and diversion berms will have a type B
compaction.
G. There will be no new roads added, the existing entrance will receive a cattle guard in place of
gate. The existing road will receive some gravel to dress up the road. No road building is
necessary. The road will be 25 ft wide by 150 ft long. This road will receive additional gravel to
help with additional traffic. It will be left In operational when pit is closed, due to it was already
existing. The approach from county road to the affect land area is already there. We will place a
cattle guard there for the mining operation to use as well as the land owner. The land owner
wants this entrance to be left in place after mining operations is done.A letter is from land is
supplied with this. This will be a safer entrance for the land owner to use. There will be no
drainage and runoff conveyance structures added.
