Issue: The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services should be consulted regarding any <br /> Threatened and Endangered plant and animal species. <br /> Response: Scott Contracting will consult with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services <br /> as reqeusted. <br /> Reclamation and Future Operational BMPs <br /> 5. Issue: CPW requests Scott Contracting take steps to avoid introduction of invasive <br /> or predatory species in the recreational pond to be constructed on the site. <br /> Response: Scott Contracting will comply with this request as it does not plan to <br /> stock the pond, nor will it any third party be permitted to stock the pond. <br /> 6. Issue: CPW requests Scott Contracting seed and plant native brush species at the <br /> site once mining activities are completed. <br /> Response: Scott Contracting will seed and plant native brush species at the site <br /> upon completion of mining activities. <br /> 7. Issue: CPW requests Scott Contracting construct the recreational pond at 3:1 <br /> slope, as well as install ramps to allow wildlife to enter and/or exit the pond. <br /> Response: At this time, Scott Contracting is planning to construct the pond with <br /> a 3:1 and will investigate installation of ramps, although the current plan does <br /> not call for ramps. <br /> Colorado Division of Water Resources (DWR) <br /> The issues raised by DWR concern (1) the proposed onsite well, (2) import of <br /> potable water, and (3) use of any impounded water. <br /> 1. Issue: DWR indicates Scott Contracting must obtain a well permit for the <br /> proposed onsite well, in addition to notifying the owner of any well within 600 <br /> feet of the proposed well. <br /> Response: At this time, Scott Contracting intends to obtain the appropriate well <br /> permit, and is unaware of any well within 600 feet of its proposed welt, but will <br /> investigate and properly notify any neighboring well if located within said radius. <br />
