Compliance With Mine Plan N - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> N - Other N - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> R -Processing Waste R - Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This was a complete inspection of the McClane Canyon Mine conducted on March 11,2020. The inspection was <br /> completed by Clayton Wein of the Division. Chuck Silengo of McClane Canyon Mining,LLC was present for the <br /> inspection. The weather was cloudy with a temperature of 47 degrees F. The ground conditions were damp. <br /> AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS—Rule 5.02.4(1): <br /> The records for the McClane Canyon Mine are located at the office of J. E. Stover and Associates in <br /> Grand Junction CO. The records for the mine were well kept and up to date. Please see the Availability of <br /> Records Form attached at the end of the report for more details. <br /> FISH and WILDLIFE—Rule 4.18: <br /> During the inspection of the sediment pond, several Elk tracks and droppings were observed. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7,4.05.10; <br /> Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br /> Drainage—Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> There is one sediment pond located at the mine site (Photo 1). The pond was holding a small amount of <br /> water. There was no discharge from the pond. The spillways were clear of debris. The embankment for the pond <br /> was vegetated and stable. There were no indications off erosion. <br /> There are two sumps located on the western edge of the mine office pad. One sump is located on the north side of <br /> the haul road,the other is located on the south side of the haul road (Photo 2). The northern sump was holding <br /> some water. The level of the water in the sump was not at the point of discharging. The silt fence at the outlet of <br /> the sump was in good condition. There were no indications of erosion or instability at the sump. The sump <br /> located on the south side of the haul road was damp. The silt fence at the outlet was in good condition.
