production in the Dryland Pasture BRB in 2018 and 2019. Production values collected in the Dryland
Pasture Reference area in 2018 did not achieve sample adequacy, but a minimum of 30 quadrats were
collected in accordance with Rule 4.15.11(2)(c). Sample adequacy was achieved in the Dryland Pasture
Reference area for production in 2019.
ERMR has requested phase III bond release on Dryland Pasture parcels DP-1, DP-2, DP-3, DP-4,
DP-5, DP-6, DP-7, DP-8, and DP-9. Irrigated pasture parcels IP-1, IP-2, IP-3, IP-4, IP-5, and IP-7
were requested for Phase III bond release. Parcels IP-1, IP-2, and IP-3 are managed as one logical
management unit(LMU). Parcels, IP-4, IP-5, and IP-7, are managed as one LMU. IP-7 was
approved as an adjacent support area with TR89, and is used to store pipe, farming equipment and
other support uses for the adjacent field.
Vegetative cover measured on Irrigated Pasture BRB in 2018 was 95.1% live vegetative cover.
Noxious weeds were not counted towards vegetation success and only measured 0.25%vegetative
cover. Herbaceous cover on the Irrigated Pasture BRB was 1,811 pounds per acre desirable species
(perennial grasses and perennial forbs). The Irrigated Pasture reference area 2018 vegetative cover
was 8 8.3 5%. Herbaceous productivity on the Irrigated Pasture reference area in 2018 was 1,673
pounds per acre desirable species. The reclaimed Irrigated Pasture bond release block exceeded that
of the Irrigated Pasture reference area for 2018.
Vegetative cover measured on Irrigated Pasture BRB in 2019 was 90.15% live vegetative cover.
Noxious weeds were not encountered during the 2019 cover sampling. Herbaceous cover on the
Irrigated Pasture BRB was 2,010 pounds per acre desirable species (perennial grasses and perennial
forbs). The Irrigated Pasture reference area 2019 vegetative cover was 78.15%. Herbaceous
productivity on the Irrigated Pasture reference area in 2019 was 1,213 pounds per acre desirable
species. The reclaimed Irrigated Pasture bond release block exceeded that of the Irrigated Pasture
reference area for 2019.
Dryland pasture
Dryland Pasture bond release block(BRB) and Dryland Pasture (Old Peabody Sage Reference Area)
were sampled for Phase III bond release in 2017 and 2018. Dryland Pasture Phase III BRB parcels
were reclaimed between 2004 and 2007, and include DP-I, DP-2, DP-3, DP-4, DP-5, and DP-6.
Vegetation sampling for cover and production was conducted in accordance with the approved
methods. The 2017 and 2018 cover sampling of Dryland Pasture DP3 met sample adequacy. The
Dryland Pasture reference area also met sample adequacy for cover in 2017 and 2018. Sample
adequacy was achieved for Dryland Pasture DP3 parcel both in 2017 and 2018 for vegetative
production. The Dryland Reference area did not meet sample adequacy for production either year,
Permit Number C1981-008:SL22 Page 13 of 17
