Environment, Inc. Page 5
The Walsenburg Sand and Gravel Company Sand Arroyo Pit
Adequacy Response 01 March 6, 2020
EXHIBIT F - Reclamation Plan Map (Rule 6.4.6) :
13 . Please update the Reclamation Plan Map to show the two areas used
by the batch plant .
The Concrete Plant areas were shown on this map but not labeled. Please refer to
the Mining Plan Map for the locations of 3 areas. The eastern one is the concrete
washout area that was located in the 111 permit area, the second is the equipment
storage area on the southeast side and the third is a narrow band along the east side
of the south line. With the exception of the narrow band, the disturbance created
by the concrete plant operators is on area that was never contained in the permit
area until this 2019 amendment. This makes them pre-permit disturbance areas and
unless redisturbed by the operator and they do not need to be reclaimed. On the
Reclamation Plan Map that the western area has been reclaimed since W5G
committed to reclaiming that area in the 111 permit. But unless W5G redisturbs the
areas used by the concrete operator they will remain in their current condition. A
copy of the revised map is attached
14 . In the legend please add a box to depict the areas associated
with the batch plant along with acreages . Currently the acreage
totals are missing the batch plant totals .
I have added a block in the legend for the Concrete Plan Area that remains.
is . Please remove the yellow highlighted line from the legend or
indicate what the line represents and show it on the map.
I missed changing that to green. It has been fixed to match the permit line shown on
the map.
EXHIBIT G - Water Information (Rule 6.4.7) :
16 . Please clarify the well permit number, the text indicates the
permit number to be 12261F and on the maps the well permit number
is 12262F.
The permit number is right on the map as 12262F. I revised Exhibit G to correct this
and add additional information as requested in item 7 above. A copy of the revised
exhibit is attached for the file.
