5_3 Wash Plant Operations
The wash plant will be used to remove fines from the material. Based on a throughput rate of 1000
tons per day, the plant will use 12,000 gallons of water per day and will operate 24 days per year.
This is based on the net water demands for aggregate washing in this climate of roughly 12 gallons
of water per ton of aggregate. This is a use of 0.88 acre -ft per year.
• 12,000 gallons/day X 24 days/year = 288,000 gallons/year
• 288,000 gallons/year = 0.88 acre feet/year
5.4 Potable Water for Drinking
Potable drinking water is estimated to be 50 gallons per month, but this water will be purchased
commercially and will not be considered in the consumptive use calculations.
5_5 Total Water Consumption
The total annual water consumption for the operation will be roughly five acre/feet per year.
Table G-3: Water Consumption
Crushing and Screening Plant Operations 1 0.76
Dust Control on Disturbed _Areas 3.29
ash Plant Operations 0.88
Total Usage 4.93
6. Reclamation
Revegetation of irrigated pasture fields as part of the proposed reclamation plan will require water.
The landowner, Rincon Partners, owns roughly two cubic feet per second of irrigation water from
the Colorado River. This water is covered under decree 07CW 16. As it is irrigation water it will
only be used for the reclamation needs.
7. Water Supply
Rincon Partners will purchase water from the Colorado River Conservancy District on an annual
basis to satisfy its water needs. The pit will permit a well onsite for its use, and then pay the District
Rincon Materials G-7 Gnx; lxicki and Ass iatm PLL('
February 2020 -
