February 26,2020 C-2010-089/New Horizon North Mine JHB <br /> Diversions 4.05.4, Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones <br /> 4.05.18: <br /> Pond 1 was dry without any standing water or ice covered pools. The in-slopes of the pond are in good <br /> conditions without rill formation and vegetation has left standing litter to help stabilize the in-slopes. <br /> Ditch 1 on the east side of Pond 1 remains clear of sediment and able to pass designed flow. <br /> Pond 2 was dry,with no erosion concern with the contributing ditches or side slopes into the pond. Frank said that <br /> they had good success, so far,with the rodent control at this pond. No burrowing of the embankment or in-slopes <br /> was observed. <br /> The ditch on the east side of the mine remains clear of sediment and able to handle runoff. <br /> ERMR personnel was collecting groundwater samples at the time of the inspection. <br /> SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br /> The facilities pad is the last area remaining to be regraded.
