AECOM has evaluated the potential for avalanches due to the proximity to the Jacque Peak North
avalanche chute. Based on this evaluation the Jacque Peak North avalanche chute has a recurrence
interval of 100-year. The structure is located vertical above and to the west of the avalanche chute and is
not expected to experience the full load of an avalanche.
Access to the tower will be maintain by a pre-fabricated bridge approximately 140-ft long. The bridge is
designed to support maintenance vehicles for installation of stop logs and periodic maintenance of the
tower.
Climax will inspect the inside of the tower and the bridge for cracks or leaks at least every six months
and/or during installation of the stop logs. A movement marker will be installed on the tower and surveyed
once per year.A facility specific operations and maintenance plan will be developed once construction is
complete.
