"Plant materials produced during the current growing season.and still standing will be tallied by species. Litter will be.considered to be any organic material that has fallen, or begun to fall to the soil surface. Standing dead will be any dead plant material that was produced in the previous years but which is still standing and has not lodged of broken off to become litter.
