January 23,2020 C-1981-018/Deserado Mine CCW <br /> holding water and most were frozen. The Last Chance Pond was discharging water at a slow rate. The <br /> embankments of the cells were covered with snow. No signs of erosion or instability were observed. <br /> The pond located at the RP-A refuse area was covered with snow. There were no erosional features observed. No <br /> indications of instability were identified at the site. <br /> The Raw Water Lagoon was frozen and covered with snow. The embankments were stable with no erosional <br /> features. <br /> The DP-1 pond located at the main facilities area was impounding water during the inspection. The pond was <br /> mostly frozen and covered with snow. The embankment was stable and there were no erosional features <br /> identified. <br /> PROCESSING WASTE/COAL MINE WASTE PILES—Rule 4.10 and 4.11 <br /> Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization; Placement: <br /> During the inspection the RP-A refuse area was inspected. Much of the site was covered in snow. There <br /> was no evidence of erosional features or instability. Some work on the perimeter ditches had been conducted prior <br /> to the inspection. There was no evidence of off-site impacts or erosional concerns. <br /> ROADS—Rule 4.03 <br /> Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3),Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4), Surfacing and Maintenance4.03.1(5)and <br /> (6)/4.03.2(5) and(6),Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br /> The Haul Road was wet during the inspection. The road was in good condition. There were no areas <br /> identified that had erosion or concerns about stability. Access roads were in good condition. Most of the <br /> frequently traveled access roads had been plowed. Others were covered with snow. No issues were identified. <br /> SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br /> Support facilities visited during the inspection included: <br /> The Slot Storage was mostly covered with snow. The out-slopes of the facility were stable and had no indications <br /> of erosion. The berms were intact and no off-site impacts were observed. <br /> The Nitrogen No. 2 Plant's pad was stable and in good condition. There were no indications of erosional features. <br /> Off-site impacts were not observed. <br /> The pad for the B-Vent Shaft No. 1 was in good repair. Most of the site was covered with snow.The fence around <br /> the vent shaft was intact. The cut-slop on the bench was stable and there were no erosional features. No off-site <br /> impacts were identified. <br /> The Main Facilities are was well kept and in good condition. The ditches were clear of obstructions and <br /> conveying water to the DP-1 Pond. There were no erosional features or indications of instability.
