Compliance With Mine Plan N - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> N - Other N - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> R -Processing Waste N -Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This was a complete inspection of the Deserado Mine conducted on January 23,2020. The inspection was <br /> completed by Clayton Wein of the Division. Kurt Blunt of Blue Mountain Energey(BME)was present for the <br /> inspection. The weather was mostly cloudy with a temperature of 35 degrees F. The ground was covered in a few <br /> inches of snow. <br /> Note: Due to an error, the photographs taken during the inspection were lost. <br /> BACKFILL and GRADING—Rule 4.14 <br /> Contemporaneous Reclamation 4.14.1; Approximate Original Contour 4.14.2; Highwall Elimination 4.14.1(2)(f); <br /> Steep Slopes 4.14.2,4.27; Handling of Acid and Toxic Materials 4.14.3; Stabilization of Rills and Gullies 4.14.6: <br /> During the inspection the following discharge locations were visited: <br /> The RS-1 Sump and the RR-1 Pond are located on the southern side of the rail loadout. The pond and the sump <br /> were covered with snow. The embankments were observed to be stable with no erosional issues. There was no <br /> discharge identified from either location. The water diversion ditch on the south side of the loadout was also <br /> covered with snow. There was no evidence of water flowing through the ditch to the RR-1 Pond. <br /> The Slot Storage has two ponds,the SS-1 and the SS-2 pond,located on the north side of the facility. The ponds <br /> were covered with snow during the inspection. There were no indications of instability or erosion on the ponds' <br /> embankments. There was no discharge occurring from either of the two ponds. <br /> The B-Seam No. 2 Dewatering System was inactive during the inspection. The 3 cells of the system were covered <br /> with snow. The embankments were observed to be stable with no erosional features. The channels between the <br /> cells were also covered with snow. There were no signs of erosion. <br /> The B-Seam No. 1 Dewatering System was also inactive at the time of the inspection.
