After the water is clarified it will be discharged into
existing drainages. A Colorado Discharge Permit System (CDPS)discharge permit for the current
operations already exists and will be maintained through the life of the operation.
The reclamation drainage will be constructed as the site is reclaimed, and this drainage network
is discussed in Exhibit G.
(d) Size of area(s) to be worked on at any one time
Consistent with previous amendments, the affected lands boundary at the Pikeview Quarry
coincides with the permit boundary as shown on the maps in Exhibit C. Grading may occur in
any portion of the 240.5 acres of the quarry permit area throughout the life of the project. Once
an area is graded to the reclamation topography, it will be topsoiled and seeded for final
reclamation.
(e) Timetables for Mining and Reclamation Operations
Grading of the borrow areas onsite is expected to take one to two years. Importing material from
offsite will take two to five years depending on availability of material. Importing material and
grading the onsite areas will occur concurrently. Establishing vegetation is anticipated to take no
longer than five years.
Pikeview Quarry Amendment 4
D-6
