CCV Emergency Response Plan <br /> NEWMONT <br /> NORTH AMERICA <br /> .4 Emergency Equipment Location. <br /> 5.4.1 Medical emergency response vehicle: is located in the Hazmat Medical Equipment (HME) <br /> shop and stocked with medical and rescue gear. <br /> 5.4.2 Competition Travel Trailer: is equipped with rope rescue equipment that can be used off site or <br /> if the Medical Emergency Response Vehicle does not have enough rope equipment on it. <br /> 3.5 Emergency Levels <br /> 5.5.1 Level 1 "Low": A"Low Level" emergency is an on-site or off-site emergency. It can be controlled <br /> by area personnel from the affected area. <br /> 5.5.2 Level 2 "Medium": A"Medium Level" emergency cannot be handled by the personnel of the <br /> affected area. The ERT is required. It does not exceed the resources of the site. <br /> 5.5.3 Level 3 "High": A"High Level" incident is one which exceeds the resources available at the <br /> scene of the emergency and outside help such as government, industry and/or corporate is required. <br /> 5.5.4 The highest severity rating for any individual risk factor determines the overall severity rating of <br /> the emergency. <br /> Code NU Procedures to tollow in the event of an Emergency <br /> 5.6.1 Examples requiring a Code 90 call: <br /> (a) Emergency medical condition or life threats requiring immediate medical attention <br /> (b) Event reasonably expected to cause a life threatening injury <br /> (c) Event which creates conditions that are an immediate danger to life safety <br /> 5.6.2 Examples not requiring a Code 90 call: <br /> (a) Minor first aid injuries with no life threat <br /> (b) Minor equipment damage with no injury and no immediate danger to life safety <br /> 5.6.3 When an emergency situation occurs, the person involved in or discovering the emergency shall <br /> call Carlton Security or Base-1 on the radio and request a Code 90 be called for an emergency. <br /> 5.6.4 When the Code 90 is heard over the radio, all personnel are to safely cease activities and listen <br /> to the radio. Mobile equipment operators, haul truck drivers, and all other moving mine site traffic are to <br /> pull to the left edge of the road in a safe location and come to a stop. The only exception to this is in the <br /> area of the mills and where only mobile equipment needs to come to a stop.
