Standard Operating Procedure <br /> NEWMONT <br /> Heavy Equipment • <br /> - Operations <br /> 8.20.1 Return the cap to the wiggins on the fuel tank. <br /> 8.21 Properly store the nozzle head in the black drip box and replace hose to its <br /> proper location. <br /> 8.22 Read the fuel gallons on the gallon counter. <br /> 8.23 Place used cloth and used gloves into the trash. <br /> 8.24 Do a walk around to check for any personnel, remove chocks and lock and return <br /> to cab. <br /> 8.25 Enter fuel gallons into Minestar. <br /> 8.26 End Delay and safely exit the fuel island <br /> 9.0 Fueling mobile support Equipment <br /> 9.1 Pull up to Fuel Island when directed by minestar and/or dispatch. <br /> 9.2 If a lube truck is present, before entering the fuel island make radio contact with <br /> J3. <br /> 9.2.1.1 Enter only with positive 3 way communication with the lube <br /> tech. <br /> 9.2.1.2 Lube Tech will direct advancement to fueling location with <br /> signal lights. <br /> 9.2.1.3 Proceed to the second (far East) fuel station for fuel, If DEF is <br /> needed communicate with J3. <br /> 9.3 If no Fuel truck is present proceed to the first fuel bay. <br /> 9.4 Put equipment in Park or Neutral and set park brake. <br /> 9.4.1 Use fuel delay on Minestar. <br /> 9.5 Lock out the transmission if possible and chock the equipment. <br /> 9.6 Walk around your equipment and check all oil sight glasses. If oils are needed <br /> call J2 to get this arranged. <br /> 9.7 Do a safety observation of the work area. Pay attention to the locations of the <br /> emergency shut off switches and fire extinguishers. <br /> 9.8 Reset the gallon counter by turning the red switch all the way to the left then back <br /> to the right and wait for the gallon meter to reset and read 0.0 <br /> 9.9 Verify that the fuel pump is off <br /> 9.10 Get a clean lint free cloth and remove wiggins cap from the fuel tank and clean <br /> wiggins. <br /> 9.11 Remove fueling nozzle from the black drip box and wipe the inside of the fueling <br /> nozzle with the provided lint free cloth. <br /> 9.12 Attach the fueling nozzle to the wiggins on the fuel tank by pulling the quick <br /> release back and pushing the fueling nozzle onto wiggins turning the nozzle a <br /> quarter turn to insure attachment. <br /> 9.12.1 Pull back on the fueling nozzle handle to check if secure. <br /> 9.13 Push the pump switch to the on position. <br /> 9.14 Open the fueling head by squeezing the valve lock and pushing the handle <br /> upward until it clicks. <br /> ------------------------------------------------------------- ---- <br /> Department THIS DOCUMENT IS UNCONTROLLED IN HARD COPY FORMAT Doc Id:NA-CCV-SURF-SOP-2421 <br /> --------------------" --------------------F-----------------------------------------------...-------------------------------------------------------------------------F-------------------------------------------------------------I <br /> Surface Mining Date of This Issue:March 27,2018 Date of Next Review:27 March 2021 Page 6 of 9 <br />
