December 11, 2019 G1981-041/Roadside Portals CCW
No erosional features were observed.
Light Use Road#1 -
The light use road#1 connected the portals area to the borrow area and even further to the south. The reclaimed
road was vegetated and stable. There were no indications of erosional features.
A Substation(Photo 2) -
The ASubstation footprint was stable with established vegetation. No erosional features were observed at the site.
North Decline(Photo 4 and 5) -
The western portion of the north decline is located below the Tract 70 Mesa. The reclaimed site remained stable
with established vegetation. A slide that occurred earlier in the year resulted in material slumping into a portion of
the permanent diversion ditch. During the inspection it was noted that this slump had not increased in size. The
ditch's capacity to function does not seem to be affected by the excess material. The right lane of Interstate 70
remained closed for the installation of a rock fence along the road. The eastern portion of the north decline was
stable and vegetated. The permanent diversion ditch was unobstructed and stable. There were no erosional
features identified.
DOCUMENTS RECEIVED : None
OTHER(SPECIFY): None
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 5
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2
Page 3 of 7
