Ei RC CC&V Water Balance User's Manual
November 2019
• Other Stochastic Results — The "Other Stochastic Results" tab provides result graphs for the
remaining stochastic facilities included in the model. This includes total solution rates, flows from
the Carlton Tunnel, precipitation runoff from the pits and OSAs, total water shortages, available
offsite water, and additional water demands at the site. Solution rates and water shortages at the
VLF PSSAs are included in this tab instead of the "VLF Results" tab to allow the user to easily view
how VLF required makeup demands compare to the total overall water demands at the site.
• 100-Year Results—The "100-Year Results"tab shows pond volume and freeboard results at each
PSSA under three inflow conditions:the draindown resulting from a 12-hour power outage, runoff
inflows from a 100-year storm event, and the combined draindown and 100-year storm runoff.
Results on this tab require the precipitation selector on the "Inputs" tab to be set to "Mean" or
"User-Input" for the results to be valid. Draindown and storm runoff volumes are not
programmed to be added to the PSSA ponds during a stochastic simulation.
• 10-Year Results—The "10-Year Results" tab shows similar pond volume and freeboard results at
each of the PSSAs as the "100-Year Results" tab following storm runoff with and without
draindown due to a 12-hour power outage, but considering the 10-year storm event instead of
the 100-year event. Results on this tab also require the precipitation selector on the "Inputs"tab
to be set to "Mean" or "User-Input" and are not valid during a stochastic analysis.
Figure 5—Sample Result Graph from Water Balance Model (Results Shown in Image are for Displaying
Graph Elements Only, and Do Not Depict Actual Expected Results for Existing Conditions)
Toggle between"Chart"and'Table'view
a; 0
Loath ApOkadw RAW at VLft PSSAI
501%Values Maximum Values
5^6 Values ,1
,';r aeoo
Y Mean Values aroo
Minimum Values
a•a
i
I
m,v -W' xn :cr saa 2M
r
sz,AS tr taa 4Wr—aax --
[ Vn 5. uti ua.
8
