The original application <br />contains an original signed application form with the corporate seal and accompanying maps and figures <br />signed by a qualified professional. The other four sets contain copies of the application form, <br />accompanying maps and figures and supporting documentation. For ease of review each copy contains a <br />table that lists the applicable requirements of the "Mineral Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined <br />Land Reclamation Board for Hard Rock, Metal and Designated Mining Operations" and lists where the <br />required information may be found in the application. <br />The scope of Amendment 13 is to add approximately 118 million tons of leach capacity by constructing <br />Phase 3 of Valley Leach Facility 2 (VLF2). The activities associated with the Amendment 13 scope are: <br />• Design and construct a new phase to VLF2 known as Phase 3, which will include a new pregnant <br />solution storage area (PSSA); and <br />• modify the backfilling sequence and final reclamation plan for the Schist Island mine area and <br />Squaw Gulch Overburden Storage Area (SGOSA) to accommodate the new leach capacity. <br />Unlike prior submittals, Newmont GoldCorp is presenting this Amendment 13 application content and <br />narrative specific to each Exhibit requirement use the exhibits to reference narrative included in a <br />comprehensive Project Description. Newmont GoldCorp presented this approach to DBMS at a pre - <br />application meeting and both parties agreed to the approach. <br />Rule 1.10 of the Hard Rock, Metal, and Designated Mining Operations rules and regulations state that, <br />"the Applicant will not be required to submit any information which duplicates applicable previous <br />
