November 26, 2019 C-1981-008/New Horizon Mine JHB
The bond release parcel consists of a reclaimed sediment collection ditch. All reclaimed areas that would
have reported to the ditch have been reclaimed and previously approved for final bond release. The majority of
the area has been removed from the permit area boundary. Rule 3.03.1(5) applies to this bond release parcel. No
ponds or other sediment control structures remain on this reclaimed parcel. Runoff from this reclaimed parcel
flows overland before reaching Calamity Draw.
RECLAMATION SUCCESS -Rule 4.15, Rule 3:
This parcel represents a reclaimed collection ditch. As such, the requirements of Rule 3.03.1(5) apply.
The regraded ditch blends well with the surrounding slope and the vegetation appears to becoming well
established.
REVEGETATION—Rule 4.15
Vegetative Cover; Timing:
The SL-23 parcel was reclaimed to irrigated pasture. ERMR reclaimed this parcel in 2019, and installed
sprinkler irrigation on this small area. The parcel was irrigated during the growing season 2019, and pasture
grasses and alfalfa became established during the growing season. The vegetation agrees with the approved
irrigated pasture seed mix. Noxious weed species were not apparent. Though the vegetation had dried up and the
snow had knocked down some of the standing biomass, there were no obvious bare areas.
DOCUMENTS RECEIVED NA
OTHER(SPECIFY)NA
ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS/COMPLIANCE
No enforcement actions were initiated as a result of this inspection, nor are any pending.
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 3
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2
Page 3 of 4
