H-1 <br /> EXHIBIT H <br /> WILDLIFE INFORMATION <br /> Per Rule 6.4.8—Wildlife Information:(1)In developing the wildlife information,the Operator/Applicant <br /> may wish to contact the local wildlife conservation officer. The Operator/Applicant shall include in this <br /> Exhibit a description of the game and non game resources on and in the vicinity of the application area, <br /> including. (a)a description of the significant wildlife resources on the affected land;(b)seasonal use of <br /> the area, (c) the presence and estimated population of threatened or endangered species from either <br /> federal or state lists,and, (d) a description of the general effect during and after the proposed operation <br /> on the existing wildlife of the area, including, but not limited to, temporary and permanent loss of food <br /> and habitat, interference with migratory routes, and the general effect on the wildlife from increased <br /> human activity, including noise, and, (2) the application may be reviewed and commented upon by the <br /> State of Colorado Division of Parks and Wildlife (CDPTf). If the CDPW has comments, they must be <br /> provided prior to the end of the public comment period specified in Sub-section 1.7.1(2)(a) to be <br /> considered by the Board and Office. <br /> (a) Provide a description of the significant wildlife resources on the affected land <br /> The Permit Area and surrounding areas were reviewed for the potential occurrence of sensitive wildlife <br /> species,to include Federal or State listed species, in order to identify wildlife resources and document <br /> habitat within the immediate Project area. The assessment included both a "desktop review" and <br /> subsequent field investigation. <br /> Species considered in the review included: (a) those listed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service <br /> (USFWS) at threatened, endangered, proposed, or candidate species; and, (b) State of Colorado <br /> threatened, endangered, or species of special concern,and migratory birds. Species activity data from <br /> Colorado Parks and Wildlife(CPW)was also reviewed as part of the assessment. Findings from these <br /> investigations are summarized in the hereto attached Appendix 1: Environmental Resource Report <br /> (RETTEW;April 2019) <br /> The Permit Area and its surrounds can best be described as that of a grasslands habitat,with relatively <br /> flat to gently rolling topography. Vegetation is composed of various grasses, yucca, and sand <br /> sagebrush. Trees are generally absent from the Permit Area and immediate surrounds;however,limited <br /> areas of ponded water, dense vegetation, trees, and adjacent wetland habitat are present within Ennis <br /> Keenesburg No. 2 Mine-112 Reclamation Operation—November 22, 2019 <br />
