G-7
Stockwatering_Well(Permit No. 75237)located in the SE1/4 of the NE1/4 of Section 1: T2N: R64W:
This well is situated at a location 1,900 ft. north of the south line of Section 1 and 100 ft. west of the
east line of Section 1. A Statement of Beneficial Use was located;however,no Well Construction and
Test Report was available on the Office of State Engineer website. While its presence is noted, no
lithologic data is readily available.
Stockwatering Well (Permit No 623) located in the SETA of the NE1/4 of Section 5• T2N• R63W
This well is situated at a location 1,525 ft.north of the south line of Section 5 and 1,039 ft.west of the
east line of Section 5. Records indicate that the well was constructed in December 1957 and reportedly
completed to a total depth of 207 ft., with a screened interval between 118 ft. and 198 ft. bgs. A
Statement of Beneficial Use was located, as was a Record Change on September 20, 2006, and an
Association Receipt(No. 0320152).
Two of the above-recorded stockwatering wells are completed to shallow depths within the Ennis Draw
feature, an area which has been identified by CSC as a"Temporary Mining Deferral Zone". As such,
potential impacts to these wells, if any, will be examined prior to making any determination as to the
general mineability of the Ennis Draw corridor. CSC notes that the third well, with a screened
interval between 118 to 198 ft.bgs is completed to a comparatively deep level, given that only shallow,
surface mining to nominal depths of 20 to 30 ft.bgs will occur. In addition,a minimum 50-ft.diameter
set-back will be employed around the well feature. Thus, CSC anticipates no significant impact with
any of these three identified well features.
In addition to the foregoing,CSC is aware of two other groundwater wells proximal to,but greater than
200 ft. from, the Permit Area. Due to the significant distance (greater than 2,000 ft.) from the
southernmost extent of planned mining operations, and the significant depth at which these deeper
production wells are completed(i.e.,to 600 ft. and 800 ft. bgs, respectively), it is not anticipated that
there will be any impact resulting from the mining activities, which will be limited to a nominal 20-to
30-ft.depth below existing ground surface.
(1) Stock watering Well(Permit No 159505) located in the SWl/4 of the SW1/4 of Section 12• This
well is situated at a location approximately 100 ft.east of the Section 12 west line and 100 ft.north
of the Section 12 south line.
Keenesburg No. 2 Mine_112 Reclamation Operation—November 22, 2019
