G-13
In addition to processing requirements (primarily washing, scrubbing, and screening of the sand
product(s),water usage will also occur with respect to fugitive dust control on haul roads(estimated
at 32,000 gallons per day),and other routine, but minor uses.
Reclamation uses are anticipated to be minimal, and approximately equivalent to the
"developmental" stage utilization levels (i.e., 30,000 to 50,000 gallons per day), with uses being
limited primarily to haul road and other miscellaneous fugitive dust suppression applications.
In addition to the foregoing, at closure, incremental water usage may be employed in dust
suppression associated with structure demolition and removal as well as other miscellaneous uses.
However, due to the selected post-mining land-use being"range land",there will be no irrigation
watering of the revegetated area(s).
(5) The OperatorlApplicant shall indicate the projected amount from each of the sources of water
to supply the project water requirements for the mining operation and reclamation.
CSC is currently evaluating a number of potential raw water sources to support the Keenesburg
No.2 Mine operations. Ultimately, operations may be supported by one(or more)of these potential
sources in complement; however, the percentage allocations are indeterminate at this juncture.
Evaluation factors include quantity and dependability of supply, as well as projected cost for
delivery to site. Bracketed"upper-end"ranges for prospective allocations are provided,as follows:
Town of Keenesburg —Municipal water supply. This would require connection to the Town of
Keenesburg municipal supply system. The percent allocation will be dependent on the potential
combination of other sourcing option(s),but likely would not exceed 70%of overall supply.
BNN — Tallgrass Ltd. — Industrial Water Supply Pond. This would require connection to an
overland delivery pipeline from the facility, which is located approximately 2 miles west of the
Keenesburg No.2 Mine. The percent allocation will be dependent on the potential combination of
other sourcing option(s),but likely would not exceed 70%of overall supply.
Guttersen Ranch Well(s) —Industrial Use Wells. This would require connection to an overland
delivery pipeline from the respective well location(s), both of which are situated on Guttersen
Ranch LLC holdings. The percent allocation will be dependent on the potential combination of
other sourcing option(s), but will not collectively exceed 30% of the overall requirement due to
Keenesburg No. 2 Mine-1 12 Reclamation Operation—November 22, 2019
