D-23
and/or right-of-way terms and conditions (as well as other factors) may also be required to provide CSC
with the information necessary to further define mine planning parameters in these areas.
Nevertheless, it is anticipated that an estimated 743,000 cubic yards of growth medium will be generated
through pre-stripping, all of which will be utilized in concurrent reclamation activities carried out behind
the (advancing) active pit operations area in any given year. This pre-stripping, limited to the depicted
known resource area, encompasses roughly 457 acres of mineable area, which in turn, is anticipated to
produce a(preliminarily)estimated 11.2 million tons of ROM mined tonnage.
The process waste stockpile at the end of Year 13 is estimated to contain a total volume of approximately
11.0 million cubic yards, encompassing an approximately 130-acre area. However, as a result of prior
"advance" reclamation, to include side-slope reduction to a nominal post-reclamation configuration of
5H:IV, the partially reconfigured process waste stockpile rise approximately 13-ft. above surrounding
terrain on the western portion, with the crest reduction on the east end resulting in a nominal 58 ft. height
above the mined-out pit floor(again, descending at a 5H:1 V slope gradient. The increase in areal extent of
the stockpile will be accomplished, in part, via a continuation of the easterly expansion(truck dump and
dozer push) of the footprint area within the previously-developed pit void; and, in part, as a result of the
"advance reclamation"slope reduction activities.
Post Year 13—Other Potentially Mineable Resources(Temporary Mining Deferral Areas)
As indicated earlier, CSC has identified and set-aside two discrete "Temporary Mining Deferral Zones",
within which there exist deficiencies in data as to definitive mineable resource characteristics (thickness,
areal extent, and quality, etc.) and/or localized site conditions and/or characteristics. Inferred resources
within these areas have been preliminarily defined as follows:
(1) Section 7"Temporary Mining Deferral Zone"
The Section 7 "Temporary Mining Deferral Zone" is classified as such due to a lack of sufficient
exploration data(i.e.,number and density of boreholes)to support meaningful analysis of the resource
base and a determination of its general mineability. However, based on the limited data available to
date,CSC anticipates that the gross resource base in this area may exceed 26 million tons of mineable
material, potentially representative of an incremental two(2)to five(5)years extension to the currently
projected thirteen(13)year overall life-of-mine.
Keenesbuxg No. 2 Mine-112 Reclamation Operation—November 22, 2019
