D-19
atop the waste storage area (with no anticipated areal expansion of the footprint area). An additional
(approximately) 106,000 cubic yards of growth medium will be transported to the TS-1 stockpile;however,
initiation of concurrent reclamation is anticipated to occur during the latter part of the year, with an
estimated 78,000 cubic yards of growth medium being re-placed over an estimated 48 acres.
Year 3 Mining Activity(Southern Portion of Section 1)
The Year 3 mining activity will encompass a full-length eastward push to the limit of the reserve-defined
mining block.
The Year 3 mining activity is projected to encompass approximately 91 acres of mined area, and the mined
tonnage(ROM)is anticipated to be approximately 5.2 million tons. An estimated 915,000 cubic yards of
process waste will be placed atop the waste storage area(with no anticipated areal expansion of the footprint
area) to establish its ultimate nominal 63-ft. height. Once maximum height is achieved, "advance"
reclamation of the north face exposure the feature will be undertaken/completed. An additional
(approximately)65,000 cubic yards of growth medium will be transported to the TS-1 stockpile;however,
concurrent reclamation activities will continue, with an estimated (approximately) 80,000 cubic yards of
growth medium being re-placed over an estimated 50 acres.
Year 4 Mininr Activity(Northeast Portion of Section 1)
The Year 4 mining activity will focus on the northeast quadrant of Section 1,with an eastward push to the
mine block limit,as defined by the western edge of the Ennis Draw"Mining Deferral Area".
The Year 4 mining activity is projected to encompass approximately 92 acres of mined area, and the mined
tonnage(ROM)is anticipated to be approximately 5.2 million tons. An estimated 883,000 cubic yards of
process waste will be placed in the waste storage area via an easterly expansion (truck dump and dozer
push) of the footprint area within the previously-developed pit void. A total of approximately 146,000
cubic yards of growth medium will be pre-stripped in advance of mining, with a nominal 145,000 cubic
yards being re-placed in concurrent reclamation activity and the remaining 1,000 cubic yards being
transported to the TS-1 stockpile.
Keenesburg No. 2 Mine_112 Reclamation Operation—November 22, 2019
