November 12, 2019 C-2009-087/Peabody Sage Creek Mine TNL <br /> An erosional feature which formed above the portal at the ditch from the pad to the smart ditches,was marked as <br /> complete in the July inspections,however this item was noted again during this inspection. The feature was likely <br /> not visible under vegetation during the July inspection. <br /> Trash items have been removed from the ditch past disturbance markers off the warehouse pad. <br /> Unused smart ditch liners need to be removed from SC-25 ditch at the compressor pad. <br /> Culvert SC-17 on the uphill side of the portal entrance needs to be cleared. The downhill side is currently pooling <br /> water. The ditch will need to be cleared and flow reestablished on the downstream end,which is located on the <br /> opposite side of Road B shown in photo below. <br /> f <br /> wy„ <br /> y1Y <br /> AI <br /> Trash rack needs to be repaired and veg cleared at the Lower Sump <br /> Culvert at office on Road A is damaged on the upstream side and will need to be repaired to full function. On the <br /> downstream side of this culvert water is backing up due to mud and vegetation. This will need to be cleared for <br /> proper function of the ditch shown in the photo below. (NPDES discharge point 7) <br /> 3 <br /> q" P . I <br /> 't <br /> Smart ditches are in need of repair with undercutting and heaving they are not functioning as designed. <br /> Animal burrows need to be filled at the Pond 3 embankment and monitored on the berm above the shop pad. <br /> Pond 3 discharge pipe needs to be cleared of vegetative matter where water enters the smaller diameter pipe. <br /> Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 0 <br /> Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2 <br /> Page 3 of 6 <br />
