Compliance With Mine Plan N - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> N -Other NA - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> N -Processing Waste Y -Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This was a complete inspection of the Peabody Sage Creek Mine; DBMS Permit No. C-2009-087, operated by <br /> Peabody Sage Creek Mining, LLC. This inspection was conducted by Tabetha Lynch with the Colorado Division <br /> of Reclamation,Mining and Safety(Division). This complete ground inspection also had an aerial compontent <br /> conducted earlier on the 12th of November. The aerial photographs were taken by Harry Ranney with the <br /> Division and reviewed in the office by Tabetha Lynch on the 18th of November. Christine Belka with the Office <br /> of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforment(OSMRE) accompanied the inspection as an Oversight Inspection. <br /> Also present for the inspection were Miranda Kawcak and Ellie Agioutanti (11/12 only)with Peabody Sage Creek <br /> Mining. The Sage Creek Mine is an inactive non-producing mine currently in Temporary Cessation. <br /> AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS—Rule 5.02.4(1): <br /> Records were checked at the Foidel Creek Mine Office. See checklist at the end of this report for details. <br /> EXPLOSIVES—Rule 4.08 <br /> Distance Prohibitions 4.08.4; Warnings 4.08.4; Control of Adverse Effects 4.08.4: <br /> No explosives are being used or stored on site. Explosives permit has expired for this site. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br /> Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br /> Drainage—Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> All ponds were holding water and flowing. See maintence items listed under general compliance for <br /> culverts, ditches,ponds, and erosional features that require attention. <br /> GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br /> A temporary structure was being erected on the shop pad,to be used for painting and sand blasting during <br /> fabrication of a structure for the Foidel Creek Mine. The operator was asked to submit a minor revision for this <br /> and any future structures, even if temporary, explaining the scope and purpose of the structure.
