H. Reclamation. Describe the annual and final reclamation standards based on the anticipated schedule for construction, operations,
and project closure. Include such items as the removal of structures and facilities including bridges and culverts, a revegetation plan,
permanent containment of mine tailings, waste, or sludges which pose a threat of a release into the environment, closing ponds and
eliminating standing water,a final surface shaping plan, and post operations monitoring and maintenance plans.
Reclamation is a continuous process. Some reclamation must be done on a recurring basis, while other practices are typically done
at the end of each mining season, and at the end of the mining operation.
Ongoing or contemporaneous reclamation is needed when operators are limited to a certain number of open pits.A maximum of 5
open pits will be open at one time and a maximum of 0.5 acres will be disturbed per mining season(not including road access).
We are contemporaneously reclaiming our operation throughout the year.Operations are very small(2-3 cubic yards moved per
week).Top soil averages 3"deep(see attached soils map,(EXHIBIT G))and will be placed in a separate stockpile from overburden.
Topsoil stock piles average 0.45 cubic yards/year and are only stored for a short period(6 hours+l-)of time since holes are
contemporaneously reclaimed. Fallen logs, large rocks, and berms will be used to prevent top soil loss and prevent erosion if stock
piles of topsoil remain for a longer duration of time.No foreign materials will be introduced to the environment for means of erosion
control.
Annual(end of season)reclamation will include:
1 Removing all vehicles and tools from the site.
,2)Refilling all pits and trenches or placing safety fencing around any incomplete excavations(require additional exploration).
3 Seeding stockpiles with native species listed in the Forest Service approved seed mix,and/or monitoring stockpiles for erosion
problems.Vegetation is disturbed on a very small scale(100 sqft+1-per week),we re-plant and re-seed on an ongoing and continual
basis.
4 i Annual reclamation will be completed by December 31 of each year or as directed by the Forest Service.
Final Reclamation will include the following general practices:
(1)Removing all tools, vehicles, supplies, construction materials and debris from the claim and properly disposing of items off of
National Forest lands.
2 Refilling all pits and trenches.
31 Re-contour the slope to a natural setting.
;41 Replacing available topsoil.
5 i Close all non-system access roads(removing gates and signs),constructing water diversions as directed by the Forest Service,
and seeding with a FS recommended seed mix(see attached seed list)(EXHIBIT F).
i 61 Hand rake and broadcast seeding.
No other trash or debris is expected or will need to be removed.
We will stay in regular contact with the District Rangers Office to be aware of any changes.
We do not intend to cut any trees,we do not intend to plant any.
(If more space is needed to fill out a block of information, use additional sheets and attach form)
-10-
