EXHIBIT F - Reclamation Plan Map (Rule 6.4.6):
Please include the previously mentioned flood control structures on the reclamation
map as appropriate.
Exhibit F Reclamation Plan Map (s) had been updated to include the grading
and revetment areas of the flood control structures. Additionally, and as
described above, plan and profile drawing have been added as Exhibits F
Sheets 4-11.
The permittee will need to acknowledge the following:
DRMS will require a minimum of 5 quarters of groundwater level monitoring data
(preferably collected monthly from wells identified as OW-1 through OW-9 and EW-
1, 2 and 3 on the reclamation map) to establish " background" water levels in the
vicinity prior to the commencement of dewatering at the site. DRMS will also require
well construction information for all monitoring wells. The permittee will also need to
commit to monthly monitoring of these locations during mining operations, not just
prior to mining and following reclamation as specified in the application.
Pre-mining water levels (minimum of 5 quarters) should be evaluated to determine
the most appropriate well specific "trigger levels" for any proposed mitigation activity
(increased monitoring, modification to pumping, French drains, etc.). When
sufficient data has been collected to establish defensible well specific "trigger
levels", the trigger level data and possible mitigation options for exceedances shall
be submitted by the permittee to DRMS in the form of a Technical Revision for
approval.
The permittee hereby acknowledges that DRMS will require 5 quarters of
groundwater monitoring data collected monthly from Wells OW-1 through OW-
9 and EW wells 1-3 establish "background"water levels in the vicinity prior to
the commencement of dewatering at the site. In addition, the permittee shall
submit submittal of well construction information and will commit to monthly
monitoring of water levels during mining as well as prior to and following
mining. The permittee requests the DRMS allow the commencement of
dewatering in Cell 1 without 5 prior quarters of water level monitoring. As an
assurance that groundwater mounding will be mitigated, an underdrain
upstream of the proposed clay liner has been specified for Cell 1. The design
and engineering of the underdrain is given in the revised 6.4.7 Exhibit G-
Water Information and includes plan and profile drawing in Exhibit G-Sheets
1-3 Underdrain.
For the remaining Cells, the permittee agrees to performing monthly water
level monitoring in the proposed wells OW 1- OW-7 and existing Wells EW 1 -
EW-3. The 2 wells for Cell 1 have been removed and the proposed wells have
been renumbered beginning with OW-1 south of Cell 2.
J .
W l Weiland Inc -_-____ _ - -----------------
Environmenral Engineering
