Mr. FRank Ferris of ERMR accompanied
the inspection and represented the operator.
The weather was clear. warm, dry and windy.
AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS—Rule 5.02.4(1):
Records were verified in the mine office. The"Availability of Records"form accompanies this inspection
report.
DMRs are submitted to CDPHE electronically, so ERMR no longer retains copies of the DMRs in the mine office.
Providing evidence of acceptance of the submittal by CDPHE should meet the requirement to retain these records
on site.
HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05
Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10;
Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage—Acid and Toxic
Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18:
The inspection began at Pond 9. A small amount of irrigation tail-water is retained in Pond 9. The
volume of water is barely enough to cover the bottom of the pond, and is well below discharge elevation. No
problems were noted with Pond 9, side slopes are well vegetated,no erosional features were observed, and
noxious weed species were not a problem.
Pond 12 was holding a very shallow puddle of water. This volume of water was well below the discharge
elevation. ERMR had recently pulled and cut Tamarisk out of this pond. The efforts appear successful so far.
Stream buffer zone signs are in place and visible for Tuttle draw.
Pond 13 was discharging 0.4 on the staff gauge. Discharge was clear. Since the CCC ditch was shut off last week,
no ditch water is being piped to Pond 13 to help manage water quality. Water discharging from this pond is now
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 2
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2
Page 2 of 6
