However,highly suitable cliff nesting habitat is present throughout the northern portion of the 0.5-mile cliff survey area. Five raptor nests were observed during surveys, four of which were classified as Golden Eagle nests. The remaining nest was classified as a Red-tailed Hawk nest(Table 2; Figure 2).All five raptor nests were unoccupied at the time of the survey,but none showed signs of recent use. All five nests were,however, in stable condition.Nest locations are displayed on Figure 2,while locations and the distances to the proposed project boundaries are provided in Table 2.
