The weather was warm,
and the ground was dry.
The BRL representative who participated in the field inspection was Basil Bear.
AVAILABILTY OF RECORDS
Two record categories, County Special Use Permits and Specific Variance Approvals,need to be discussed
between BRL and DRMS. It is unclear if records in these categories are needed. Also,the value for the
Reclamation Cost Estimate requires some scrutiny, as there appears to be a discrepancy between different
records.
HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05
Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7,4.05.10;
Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13;
Drainage—Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18:
Water is still seeping out of the Fire Mountain Canal near the east end of Gob Pile#3,but the flow rate is much
lower than in August. The flow in the canal itself was still very high, suggesting that work by the ditch company
appears to be helping. (Note that documentation for Gob Pile#3 indicates that seepage from the canal was part of
the reason for the underdrain for this structure.)
The following ponds were inspected: B, C,D, F,J, and K. All of the ponds but J were dry, and Pond J was not
discharging.No problems were identified with embankments, spillways, or other features of the ponds except for
the following issues at Pond J.
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 3
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 1
Page 2 of 11
