September 25, 2019 C-1980-007/West Elk Mine LDS <br /> SUPPORT FACILITIES -Rule 4.04: <br /> The former B seam degas borehole was disconnected from the HDPE methane supply pipe and the <br /> borehole had been plugged. Electrical services had been disconnected from the small building covering the <br /> borehole. The site of the new methane supply borehole, proposed with MR-43 8, had been marked with a stake on <br /> the edge of the Shaft#3 pad. <br /> Southeast of the Sylvester Gulch fan facilities, the large pad with two methane supply boreholes (24-08 <br /> and 24HG2E 12XCJH 1)was inspected. Each of the boreholes was connected to the HDPE methane supply <br /> pipeline and was protected by a chainlink fence. Due to a hissing sound, it appeared that the 24HG2E 12XCJH 1 <br /> pipe had a leak. MCC will check on it and make any necessary repairs. <br /> The building housing the Mine Dewatering Boreholes was locked. These boreholes are not currently in <br /> use, and are not anticipated to be used in the near future. <br /> The Electric Transmission Line light use road was accessible by ATV to about half its length. <br /> TOPSOIL—Rule 4.06 <br /> Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3;Redistribution 4.06.4: <br /> The Sylvester Gulch Shaft Site Topsoil Stockpile was very well vegetated, and appeared to be free of <br /> weeds.
