Eovi* ropept, li)
LARRY E.O'BRIAN 7985 VANCE DRIVE,SUITE 205A
FOUNDER ARVADA,COLORADO 80003
STEVAN L.O'BRIAN 303-423-7297
PRESIDENT FAX 303-423-7599
July 26, 2018
Colorado Division of Parks and Wildlife
Southeast Region Service Center - Colorado Springs Office
4255 Sinton Road
Colorado, Springs Colorado 80907
To whom it may concern:
Re: Wildlife Statement for Sand and Gravel Mine
E1 Paso County County, Colorado
Environment, Inc. is preparing an application for a Mined Land
Reclamation Permit (M.L.R.B. ) for Ellicott Sand & Gravel on a parcel
of land lying in the central part of El Paso County, southeast of
Ellicott Colorado. We need a Wildlife Statement to submit to the
Division of Reclamation, Mining & Safety (D.R.M.S. ) as part of permit
application for this site. The information you provide will be use
to establish the baseline information to determine the effects, if
any, this mine will have on the wildlife in the vicinity of the mine
and will aid us when we are finalizing the Reclamation Plans .
Enclosed is the Division' s information form from many years ago,
a USGS Quad vicinity map, an area map showing how to get to the mine
from Colorado Springs, and an air photo showing the mine limits in
relation to the surrounding areas. The area map has GPS waypoints
for the mine entrance and the turn off on SHWY 94 to get to the mine.
I included a copy of the Mined Land Reclamation Board regulations
explaining what information we need, for your use.
I am sorry for not having more details on this site, but I am
just starting the planning for this project and do not have more
information. Please call Perry Hastings with Ellicott Sand & Gravel
at (602) 558-0846 when you get ready to visit the property so he can
make arrangements for you to get on the site and be with you if
needed, to answer any questions .
Please send the Wildlife Statement to my office by e-mail if you
want to, Environment-inc@outdrs .net, so I can include it in our
application. If you need further information to complete the state-
ment, please let me know. Thank you for your help in this matter.
Sincerely,
ENVIRONMENT, INC.
Stevan L. O'Brian
President
enclosures
cc: file
