Mr. Frank Ferris of ERMR accompanied the
inspection and represented the operator. The weather was warm and dry. Many of the irrigated fields in the
region were recently cut for hay.
BACKFILL and GRADING—Rule 4.14
Contemporaneous Reclamation 4.14.1;Approximate Original Contour 4.14.2;High wall Elimination 4.14.1(2)(f);
Handling of Acid and Toxic Materials 4.14.3; Stabilization of Rills and Gullies 4.14.6:
The majority of the disturbed area has been regraded. The facilities area and equipment storage area have
not yet been graded to post-mining contours as yet. This area continues to have equipment and structures
removed.
HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05
Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7,4.05.10;
Diversions 4.05.4;Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18:
Pond 1 was mostly dry but held a shallow pool of water towards the east end of the pond and in the
western cell of the pond. Frank confirmed that this was irrigation tail water and not due to precipitation runoff.
Pond 1 had not discharged nor was there be a potential for discharge due to the very minimal water in the pond.
Pond 2 was dry. No concerns were noted with pond 2.
Collection ditches to Pond 1 and Pond 2 were in good condition with no evidence of breaching of undercutting.
Material from rock-picking of the irrigated pasture had been placed near the west side of the permit area,but well
away from the collection ditch.
REVEGETATION—Rule 4.15
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 1
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 1
Page 2 of 4
