PUBLIC NOTICE <br /> Climax Molybdenum Company, Henderson Operations, P.O. Box 68, Empire, Colorado 80438, <br /> and whose location is multiple section portions in Township 2 and 3 South, Ranges 77 and 78 <br /> West, filed an application for an Amendment to its approved Reclamation Permit with the <br /> Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board (Board) under provisions of the Colorado Mined Land <br /> Reclamation Act. The Amendment, AM-07, proposes to increase the Henderson affected land <br /> boundary to include the following areas: <br /> • 21.9 acres: URAD Wastewater Treatment Plant; <br /> • 9.8 acres: Water conveyance pipeline between the Mine and URAD; <br /> • 11.3 acres: Mine Site addition; <br /> • 151.9 acres: Subsidence area; and <br /> • 48.3 acres: Mine Site reconciliation. <br /> With the addition of the above affected land areas, Henderson anticipates that the total affected <br /> land area under Permit No. 1977-342 will increase to 4,360.2 acres. The proposed changes will <br /> not change the existing land use or the present mining or milling operations at Henderson. <br /> The proposed date of effect for this Amendment is immediately following approval by the Board. <br /> There is no change in mining plan associated with this Amendment.
