Arrived at OP06. Potential burrowing owl habitat is observed.Prairie dog colony is active.Start <br /> playback calls. <br /> @1855 No BUOW observed. Departed for OP01. <br /> @1859 Arrived at OP01. Potential burrowing owl habitat is observed.Prairie dog colony is active.Start playback calls. <br /> @1909 No BUOW observed;however,2 BUOW's were observed within the prairie dog colony during the habitat assessment earlier in the day. Departed for OP02 <br /> @1912 Arrived at OP02.Potential burrowing owl habitat is observed.Prairie dog colony is active.Start playback calls. <br /> @1922 4 BUOW's observed approximately 120 feet north of the project area on other side of the fence. BUOW burrow was observed at(40.261459,-104.200719). <br /> Departed for OP03. <br /> @1929 Arrived at OP03. 6 BUOW's observed upon arrival at site. Did not conduct playback call. <br /> @1939 6 BUOW's were observed within the prairie dog colony. The four BUOW burrows that were occupied were located at:(40.258967,-104.200145),(40.258921,- <br /> 104.200299),(40.259001,-104.20033),and(40.259138,-104.200639).Departed for OPO4 <br /> @1941 Arrived at OPO4. 2 BUOW's were observed when I arrived at the site. Did not conduct playback call. BUOW's were observed in the grass with and not associated <br /> with any burrow. <br /> @1951 2 BUOW's observed. Did not observe which burrow they occupied. Departed for OP07. <br /> @1957 Arrived at OP07. Potential burrowing owl habitat is observed.Prairie dog colony is active.Start playback calls. <br /> @2007 No BUOW'S observed. Departed for OP05. <br /> @2020 Arrived at OP05. Small prairie dog complex observed. No prairie dog activity observed. Started playback calls. <br /> @2030. No BUOW's observed. 83 degrees F,wind 3-6 mph,100%visibility,and no precipitation. Surveys concluded. 12 total BUOW's observed. <br />
