MINING PLAN EXHIBIT C
1. General Mining Plan
The permit area will be staked prior to any additional site disturbance. Map C-2 shows the
mining activities. There is an existing excavation that has exposed the depth of gravel
excavation desired for the site. The minable gravel layer is at a minimum 25' thick. The mine
plan includes mining the alluvial gravel with a loader. Processed and stockpiled within the mine
area to be loaded out and used on the landowner's farm roads and agriculturally based buildings.
Access to the mining area will be from 5875 Road. It is the intent project that the gravel be used
on the existing tract of land to improve roads and transported approximately 2 miles South West
to the landowner's other properties in the valley to the West of the project. Haul routes would
include 5875 to Spring Creek Road and Spring Creek Road onto Shavano Valley Road.
Topsoil if encountered, will be salvaged on site and stored for reclamation. Topsoil, if
salvageable, will be stockpiled along the western edge of the permit running north to south. The
operation will mine for a few months per year and produce stockpiles to supply demand for the
landowner's agricultural needs on their properties. No outside sales are anticipated or sought
after. Excavated product will be stored within the Mining Area. All final slopes will be mined to
3H:1 V or less to reduce the amount of reclamation required after mining. The mining areas and
stockpiles are shown on Map C-2.
