July 9, 2019 C-1981-041/Roadside Portals CCW
was identified several paces to the west of Object IDs 89 and 90. A small rill was observed leading to the edge of
the feature. Water was not observed to be flowing into the feature at the time of the inspection; however, the rill
was damp indicating recent flow had occurred. The rill was traced upslope to a couple of man-made excavated
holes that were not made by Snowcap, and then from those excavated holes to Fontanari's ditch. For more details
on Object ID 86 through 91,please see the photographs below. Object IDs 86 through 91 were identified on the
morning of July 9 and again observed the morning of July 11. There were no noticeable changes in the features
between the two days.
On the morning of July 11,two new linear objects were brought to the attention of the Division by Mr. Beckwith
and documented. The first one labeled Line Object 10 was located on the Northern edge of the mesa above the
North Decline. The feature was a small crack approximately 3/4 of an inch to 1 inch wide. The crack was
observed to trend in a northeast trend leading to the edge of the mesa. Another small crack was pointed out by Mr.
Beckwith which the Division labeled as Line ID 11. Line Object 11 trended in a nearly east/west direction. The
crack was approximately 1/4 to 1/3 inches wide. For more information on the two Linear Objects, please see the
photographs below. Another Fontanari ditch located further south on Tract 70 was observed to be on a portion of
the repaired Line Object 9. The ditch was dry at the time of the inspection on July 9 (Photo 8 and 9). Due to the
impact of the man-made Fontanari ditch through the repairs conducted in association with bond release SL-11,the
Division cannot ensure the success of the repair work conducted by Snowcap. As such, the Division cannot hold
the responsibility of the areas of repair to Snowcap.
Object IDs:
,
^
-
✓r LS
i ry,
Y
L L
r_
wa
q 4 r
4
p
r
r
5P
S
• r' Y
- .. ..-
.
