(b) Earthmoving:
Earth moving consists of first removing topsoil, then any overburden and finally aggregate
(Little overburdens present with an average depth of 6-12")The resource lies beneath the
topsoil at most locations. Mining will commence and be maintained at a 3H: 1V slope and will
continue through the entire mining process. These slopes will then have topsoil replaced for
reclamation.
(c) Water diversions and impoundment:
There are no water diversions or impoundments planned for the mining area
(d) The size ef.the areas)to be worked at any one time:
Total acres to be stripped it a given year will range from a nvnimian of 8 to a maxiumuun of
34.08 acres, which mchrde stripped land for mining and land in process of reclamation to
eventually be released by the Division, dependent upon market demand.
(e) An approximate timetable to describe the mining operation:
This is an ongoing mining operation. The expected Irfe o€the mining area is 10 to 20years,
depending on market demand We estimate the amountofmineable acres by phases as follow:
(f) Advancing to the Next Phase:
Operator will notify the Division when a new phase is about to commence and give an updated
estimate for reclamation cost for the phase that will become active for mining.
Table k Phase, Mineable Acres and Timetable
Phase Approximate Mineable Approximate
Acres Production Period
-Years
A* 20.29 3-5 years
S 13.79 2-4 years
C 8.58 12 yews,
D 10.78 2-4 years
E 15.01 3-5 year,
* Phase A includes about 3 acres of unmined area in the existing 112 Constnoction
Materials permit.
