C-19 r1
Washed Sand Stockpile and Decant S, sy tem
Washed(interim)product from the wet plant will be delivered to a stockpile(Figure C-5: Wet Plant and
Stockpile Decant System) via a 30" wide by 100-ft. long radial stacking conveyor unit. The anticipated
maximum stockpile height is approximately 29-ft. The stockpile footprint will be approximately 215-ft.by
125-ft. in area,sufficient to accommodate an estimated 7,300 yd3 of(interim)product for a limited duration
time period, during which excess moisture will be decanted from the material matrix for return to the wet
plant clarifier.
The decant system will employ a perforated pipe underdrain designed to drain to a common sump, from
which recovered water will be pumped to the water clarifier unit for subsequent re-use.
Drying and Screening Plant
The drying and screening plant facilities will occupy an approximately 80-ft. by 130-ft. area within the
west-central portion of the Permit Area. It will consist of an assemblage of(temporary)modular equipment,
to include a rotary drying unit and various screening decks, all of which will be placed atop a timber or
composite matting system.
The dry plant process flow is depicted in Figure C-6: Dry Plant Process Flow Schematic;and, the overall
dry plant facilities layout(through product loadout and truck scaling)is provided as Figure C-7: Dry Plant
and Loadout Facilities. Additional detailed discussion of the plant equipment and process flow is provided
above, in the Keenesburg Project Mining and Processing Overview.
